Project partners
A project such as OranjeWind is like a giant puzzle: challenging and at times frustrating, but much easier if you complete it with the right partners. Thankfully, we have found these partners for OranjeWind. Click on the image below to find out more about who they are and how they will contribute to our offshore wind farm.

Vestas
Vestas will be supplying 53 V236-15.0 MW wind turbines and is responsible for the supply, delivery, and commissioning of the turbines. Upon completion, Vestas will service the assets under a comprehensive 5-year service agreement followed by a long-term operational support agreement.
Sif
Sif Holding will supply 53 monopile foundations for the OranjeWind offshore wind farm. Components such as ladders, boat landings, access platforms and internal platforms are installed and connected at sea after the installation of the monopiles. These components will also be supplied by Sif.
Eemshaven
The Buss Terminal at Eemshaven, part of the Hamburg-based Terminal operator Buss Ports, will serve as the marshalling port for the wind turbines of the OranjeWind project. It will provide storage space and quayside.

Den Helder
OranjeWind operation & maintenance activities will be handled from the Port of Den Helder, in the Blue Port Centre building. Offshore works will be done with a Service Operation Vessel (SOV), carrying the maintenance crew from the port to the wind farm. The Blue Port Centre will offer space for warehouse and offices for the wind farm and its Onshore team. The port of Den Helder is located around 53 kilometres from the OranjeWind site.
Jan De Nul
Oranje Wind will use two specialist next-generation offshore installation vessels: “Les Alizés” and “Voltaire”, for foundation and turbine construction.
“Les Alizés” is a purpose-built vessel designed for transporting, lifting and installing monopile foundations. With the ability to lift up to 5,000 tonnes and with a deck loading capacity of 61,000 tonnes, she is future-proofed by being capable of handling the scale and design of future foundations that will support the next generation of wind turbines.
“Voltaire” is the world’s largest jack-up installation vessel with a crane capacity of 3,200 tonnes and approximately 130-metre long legs. Her innovative design makes the vessel highly suitable for the installation of next generation wind farms in deep waters.

DEME
DEME will carry out the transport and installation works for the inter-array cables and secondary steel for OranjeWind. DEME will transport and install a total of 114 km of inter-array cables, which will connect all 53 foundations to the offshore substation in the Dutch North Sea. The scope includes all the engineering, preparation and supporting activities.
TKF
The inter-array cables, connecting the 53 wind turbines to the offshore substation, will be delivered by Dutch company Twentsche Kabelfabriek (TKF). In total, TKF will supply 114 kilometres of cables including accessories for OranjeWind.

TenneT
Since 2016, TenneT has been the offshore grid operator in the Netherlands, building the offshore substations and transporting wind power generated at sea to the onshore grid. For OranjeWind, TenneT is realizsing an offshore alternating current (AC) connection with a capacity of 700 to max. 760 MW via the Offshore Substation HKW Beta. The connection will link to the high-voltage substation in Wijk aan Zee.
